Investigative and security reasons

We process your personal data for security reasons; for example, when registering access to premises, issuing visitor badges and managing access and permission rights to our IT resources. Similarly, we process your personal data in connection with logging and following up usage of our IT systems.

We may also, where necessary, process your personal data in connection with incident management, for example, in the case of security incidents or when carrying out security investigations.

Legitimate interest. Processing is necessary in order to fulfil our legitimate interest in processing your data in connection with investigations and for security reasons; for example, when registering access to the building, issuing passes and managing access and permission rights to our IT resources.

Storage period
For the purposes of issuing visitor badges and managing access and permission rights, we process your personal data during your visit and thereafter for as long as it is necessary in order to fulfil our legitimate interest in handling and meeting any legal requirements. For the same purpose, login information is retained for as long as it is necessary in order to fulfil our legitimate interest in handling and meeting any legal requirements.

Similarly, your personal data is retained for the purposes of managing incidents for the period of the investigation and for that required thereafter in order for us to fulfil our legitimate interest in handling and meeting any legal requirements.

Ensure food safety and prevent spreading of infectious diseases

Prior to permitting access to relevant food handling areas, we collect your personal data on health questionnaire form for the purposes of ensuring food safety and prevent spreading of infectious diseases. In this regard, we have a legal obligation to prevent any person suffering of a disease or being a carrier of a disease, likely to be transmitted through food, from entering food handling areas on our premises.

In order to manage and protect our services and related IT systems, e.g. when you sign in to our network, upon logging, troubleshooting, backup, change and problem management in systems and in connection with potential IT incidents, we may process, to the extent necessary, your personal data.

When and How We Process Your Personal Data

Our locations have video surveillance systems that may automatically capture and record images or video of you when you visit or work at our facilities. These recordings may contain personal data if the images or videos can be used to identify you. The video surveillance systems installed at our locations can be divided into two categories:

1. Outdoor video surveillance – cameras installed in outdoor areas around buildings.
2. Indoor video surveillance – cameras installed inside buildings.

Outdoor Video Surveillance

Outdoor video surveillance includes cameras that record parking areas, gates, fences, building entrances and exits, loading docks, delivery zones, and other external premises (“outdoor video surveillance”).

Indoor Video Surveillance

Indoor video surveillance includes cameras that record or capture images inside buildings, including areas related to animal transport, slaughterhouses, production facilities and lines, as well as entry and exit points for secured areas, protected rooms, or common areas (“indoor video surveillance”).

It is important to note that our cameras are positioned in a way that does not intentionally cover surrounding public areas outside our locations.

Additionally, we do not use automated facial recognition or similar technologies designed to uniquely identify you or other individuals by processing biometric data.

How Long Do We Store Your Data?

Photos or video recordings containing your personal data will only be stored for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose of processing the data. In general, photos or video recordings are retained for 30 days.

In the event of damages or security incidents, we may store relevant photos or video recordings for a longer period in order to investigate the incident and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

When and Why We Process Your Personal Data

If you are working with animal welfare related duties (e.g. animal feeding, animal transportation or slaughterhouse related activities), we may process your personal data through inner area video devices. The processing is conducted for the purposes of ensuring the safety and welfare of animals as well as in order to ensure that proper animal welfare practices and related statutory obligations are complied with.

If your work consists of working on a production line, we may process your personal data through inner area video devices. The processing is conducted for the purposes of ensuring efficiency of production line. By ensuring the efficiency of the production line, we are able to utilize resources in a cost-effective way. In this connection, by monitoring and displaying the production line to you via monitoring screens, we enable you to detect and fix (or correct the immediate condition) abnormalities occurring on the production line.

If this period will be extended, we will inform you accordingly.
